ALEXANDER BENNETT:

THEY CALL ME DADDY PUNCHLINES

“One of the most important shows on the fringe…courageous and thought provoking”

THE SCOTSMAN

“Hello, Alexander Bennett here. I’m a stand-up comedian.

This is the show I took to the 2019 Edinburgh Fringe. It is a show about how we define ourselves, how our identities are complex, and an appeal for appreciation of everyone’s complexities.

It’s also about me. My comedy has been described as dark, silly, filthy and thoughtful. Come if you like the sound of those adjectives. Expect oversharing.”

This show is being filmed, by buying a ticket you are giving consent to be filmed as part of that recording.

Press for Alexander Bennett:

"I don’t think I can begin to do him justice; a producer and performer of some refreshingly different material"
CHORTLE
"His sharp interpretations of the world around him add a sinister spin to the everyday - Unique and hilarious"
THE REVIEWS HUB
“A passionate and praiseworthy hour of dark observational comedy”
THE SKINNY
"There’s something spookily LeStat-ish about Alexander Bennett. Just as unnerving is just how good he has become in the past five years"
FRINGE PIG
"He is delivering a provoking foray into polarizing issues while trying to pull himself out of a muddy cesspool. His determination to share with his audience leads to some admirable honesty and more than a handful of striking statements"
THE WEE REVIEW
“Witty, weird and dark: All hail Alexander Bennett!”
HARRY HILL
“Warm, insane and very funny” Steven Appleby, THE GUARDIAN
