Hiring the Theatre
The Etcetera works to establish a team relationship with all incoming companies. We have been established here since 1986 and have built up a catalogue of valuable information, including contacts with designers, stage managers, press officers and so to assist incoming companies and so on.
Dimensions
- The theatre has 42 seats end-on
- Grid height: 3.25 metres
- Stage dimensions: 5.40 metres wide
- 4.00 metres deep to the back wall (3.70 metres to chimney breast/curtain)
Slots
There are two evening slots available starting between 7pm and 7.30pm and finishing by 9pm and a late slot starting at 9.30pm and finishing by 10.50 pm, except on Sundays when all shows start an hour earlier. Because of this policy we operate in a similar way to venues at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, whereby sets must be struck after each performance and stored in the theatre.
Shows run from Tuesday - Sunday, usually for between 1 and 3 weeks.
We house one-off performances (usually comedy) on Monday nights at 7.30pm and 9.30pm.
We are also available to hire during the daytime for rehearsals, filming and play readings.
